Investec Cape Town Art Fair Favourites

When it comes to art, I can’t help but feel inspired by the array of colours, techniques and textures that I come across when I visit an exhibition. Each artwork is  accompanied by the juxtaposing emotions of excitement and calmness as you consume the essence of the art.

At least, these were the emotions I felt when I visited the Investec Cape Town Art Fair on 17 February 2019. Some might say that the art moved them to sadness, anger and pride as an exemplar of the African culture. But you can decide for yourself.

The Investec Cape Town Art Fair (ICTAF for short) is a celebratory showcase of the best contemporary art from Africa and the world. Hosted at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, locals, art lovers and – collectors from all over came to explore the multitude of talent on the contemporary art scene.

Here are some of the highlights from the exhibition – aka my personal favourites (mostly the main and solo exhibitions). 😉
